BetterWorkSetup operates betterworksetup.shop and sells ergonomic office and work from home furniture, principally desks and desk chairs, to customers in the United States. This page sets out what we record about you, why we record it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Placing an order or browsing the site means you accept the practices below.
What we record. When you shop with us we take your name, the address the order is going to, the billing address, your email address and a phone number for delivery questions, together with the details of what you bought. Card numbers are typed into our payment provider’s own secure form at checkout and pass straight to them; our servers never hold a full card number. Separately, our hosting and analytics tools log ordinary technical information such as your IP address, the browser and device you used, and which pages you looked at.
Why we use it. We use what we hold to take payment, get furniture to the right door, send you tracking updates, handle returns and warranty claims, answer support messages, watch for fraudulent orders, and meet tax and accounting obligations. If you tick the newsletter box we also send occasional setup notes and product news, and every one of those emails carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately.
Who else sees it. We do not sell personal information and we do not trade mailing lists. Details go only to the companies that make the store function: our payment provider, the freight and parcel carriers who deliver your desk, our email platform, and our hosting company. Each receives the minimum needed to do its part. We will also release information where a law, a court or a regulator requires it, or where it is necessary to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
Cookies. Cookies keep your cart contents between pages, remember settings, and show us which parts of the catalog people actually use. Your browser can block or clear them, though the cart and checkout may stop working properly if you do.
Keeping it safe, and for how long. We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, while recognising that nothing sent over the internet can be promised to be completely secure. Order records are kept as long as we need them to honour the warranty and satisfy accounting and tax rules, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Your choices. Depending on the state you live in, you may be able to ask for a copy of what we hold, have errors fixed, request deletion, or object to particular uses. Write to us at the address at the foot of this page and we will respond inside the period the law allows. Marketing consent can be withdrawn at any time without affecting orders already placed.
Children. This store is meant for adults buying office furniture. It is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly gather their information.
Updates. If this policy changes, the revised version appears here with a new date at the top. Continued use of the site after that point means you accept it.
